Sustainable Urban Development: The Integration of IoT and AI for Smart Cities
Abstract
The rapid growth of urban populations has necessitated the adoption of smart city technologies to enhance sustainability and efficiency. This paper investigates how the integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) can optimize resource management, traffic control, waste disposal, and energy consumption in urban environments. We analyze real-time data collection from IoT sensors, predictive AI models for smart decision-making, and case studies from global smart city initiatives. The study also discusses the environmental, economic, and social impacts of AI-driven urban planning.
